An Introductory Note

'What is there in the in the universe, is in the body,’

This my research is regarding the universe and the body of Man.

In the cycle of their own, the Five Elements mix, mingle and enjoy one another to maintain the balance of Creation.

In the Panchabhoutik Dashachakra (the circle of elemental phases) Teja (Sun) reacts with water and creates air. On the other hand water, in reaction with the sky, be re-created into water.
In my opinion, apart from the worldly nature, the nature of these elements and their activities, influence the mind and body, character and fate, and the works of man. No man is outside this influence. The Five brothers of Mahabharata – Yudhisthir, Bhima, Arjuna, Nakula & Sahadeva – are nothing but the incarnations of the Five Elements.

I had had a long-cherished intention to invent some system that can help calculate and see the past and future of man. That has taken shape in the ‘Panchabhoutik  Jantram’. The characteristic and ideal of this Jantram will lead man in the ways of Truth, Beauty, and equality.

This book was first published in January in the year 1993 by Ismail Biswas. As its publication created interest in the readers – Sanjoy Chaki, a dear brother of mine expressed his will that this book should be translated in English to reach the widest range of readers all over. Promptly the project took its shape and by the kind help of Mr. Sawapan Biswas, Mr. Suraj Saha, Mr. Indrajit Chatterjee, Mr. Kaushik Mondal, and Mr. Swapan Baran Acharya – the book saw daylight.

If my readers accept this my effort, I would feel my labor to be blessed.
